Foolproof Fall Off The Bone Ribs
Ribs used to intimidate me. I could never quite get that tender fall off the bone thing happening so I resigned myself to only eating them at BBQ joints. Then I came up with this method. After a simple dry rub is applied these baby back ribs head into the oven for 5.5 hours and come out perfect EVERY TIME.
Foolproof Fall Off The Bone Ribs
2 racks of baby back ribs (about 2.5 pounds)
2 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Preheat oven to 300°
Combine the rub ingredients (salt though onion powder). Place a large piece of tin foil on a half sheet pan. Place the ribs, bone side up on the foil. Rub one third of the dry rub on the bone side of the ribs. Turn the ribs over and rub remaining dry rub on the meat side. Place another sheet of tin foil on top of the ribs and crimp the edges of the sheets of tin foil together to create an enclosed packet so no steam will escape. Bake for five and a half hours.
